thats the way it should be,not just with kids but with everyone. im a rather affectionate person myself. i like to like people,even though i get frustrated sometimes. ever notice how people cringe if you put a hand on their shoulder while talking to them? thats not normal,to be that afraid of human contact. people dont really shake hands anymore either. i mean they do,but not really. its a limp halfhearted handshake,usually with no smiles attached. why bother? put some emotion into it and act like you are happy to know someone,jeesh.....
