GM in the local mega-mart

Yesterday I was browsing in the bedroom furniture section, and I saw a 30ish man and a little girl of about 4. She was lying face up on a bed, and he was kneeling on the floor as though he was tucking her in. He was hugging her closely & tickling her while she laughed and wiggled.

I was enjoying watching them, but I didn't want to stand and gawk. I sat down on a chair about 5 yards away.

After a minute, during which he was directing his attention entirely towards the little girl, he glanced up, cautiously I thought, and looked right at me. Our eyes met, and I smiled at him. He then dove back down and enthusiastically planted a shower of kisses on the little girl's face! I believe several landed on her mouth, although it was hard for me to see since his upper body fairly enveloped her.

They then got up and joined a woman who was browsing nearby. He looked at me as they passed, and I gave him a big smile, which he returned.
