It is significant that you are 16. At that age they don't consider you to be "settled" in your attraction. Try coming out to someone new when you reach, say, 30?? 40?? It get's worse the olde you get!

Btw I'm 24...but I haven't yet ever came out to anybody - I don't think it would go down too well :>(
