"Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord..."

Paul clearly states that his opinion is not the word of god.

In any case, as BB has pointed out, this passage deals only with Paul's personal advice against marriage; it has nothing remotely to do with paedophilia... in fact, it present case for celibacy, (though Paul does point out, as i emphasize, that this is not a rule from god, the Pope's men in black not withstanding.)

From a non-christian point of view, please allow me to also point out that Paul's reasoning for one to concentrate on god rather than on sex is that "time is short". Since this was written almost 2000 years ago, one must reflect that "short" is a rather relative term. Some (Buddhist/Taoist/Hindu/etc.) might feel that 2000 years is rather long time to do without sex while waiting for son of god to come and save us.
