It was all split decisions. But now that I've had time to think about this...

Sure, I could have taken advantage of the situation. Invited her in. And talked to her, nothing more, nothing less. Which is what ended up happening anyway. Then risk her parents getting a bad impression of me.

But, the way it turned out, I got to spend time with her anyway, only under the impression of "being responsible." The best of both worlds.
