A shoulder-load of GMs

So it was looking back at 5:00 at work when one of my girls decided that now would be a good time to stand on a desk and say how she really wanted to be picked up now. Now, knowing that it was getting late for this particular child's mother to have not arrived, I naturally assumed that she was talking about wanting to be picked up (as in taken home) by her mother. So I told her to get of the desk and went about my business.
So I was talking to another girl, 4ish let's say, who pretty much worships the ground I walk on, and I was holding her, walking around. We do that all the time. Well, all the time when she's there, which isn't every day.
Well by now the first girl was bent thoughroughly out of shape. Not only had I not picked her up (which is what she was asking for the whole time - really, the standing on the desk thing should have given me a clue) but now I had gone and picked up SOMEONE ELSE?!! :p
So I told her what I told you, that I thought she meant get picked up to go home, and promptly rectified the situation by the only way possible - getting that girl up on my back as fast as you can say "Tamachan is lucky!". We went for a piggyback down the hall to the waterfountain (which is great because when the bigger lgs are on my back, the water fountain is a nice thing to have. ) :)
Well, of course I'd now knocked down the first domino. As soon as one girl gets something, a waitlist appears out of nowhere. So the next little one was little again, so she got on my shoulders instead of my back. (Big mistake, cuz her sister ain't so little!) Which of course meant that the next 3 girls wanted shoulder rides too.
By the end of it, I was one tired Tama, and my shoulders were about ready to go on strike, but who could say no to little girls? I've certainly never quite mastered the skill. :p
Peace, Love and Watermelons!
Tama
