An Alice Day moment

I left four poems with GL themes I had copied once from Alice Under Skies on a table in a local library earlier this evening. These were four surprisingly tender yet erotically suggestive poems by old Surrealists, Andre Breton, Paul Eluard, Octavio Paz, and Louis Bunel.

Later, as I walked past that table after having done some work in another part of the library, I saw a pretty 10 or 11 year old brunette sitting there doing her homework with the poems placed carefully under one of her textbooks.

I wanted to wish her a Happy Alice Day, but I walked by silently, smiled at her instead, and left the library with a little song in my heart.
