Just a reminder of the many beautiful LGs around...

And, yes, in very strict sense she is right about her name... Argentinian pronunciation of Spanish is the furthest from "standard" of all... Not that I consider it wrong, as personally, I think it's cute. But while theoretical Spanish standard is like French LL (as in "brouillon") or Hungarian LY, we real speakers tend to pronounce LL more or less like English J, soft G (as in "Bridget" not as in "girl") or consonantic Y("yellow" not "boy"), or even German J. That is, except Argentinians and Uruguayans who pronounce it in varying degrees more like English SH... If that comes from Welsh or any other influence (Amerindian, for example) I completely ignore...

Like English itself, Spanish has developed into regional variants which are complete by themselves and pronounced slightly different. Classroom Spanish will inevitably lead you to either Madrid, Mexico City or Bogota, as classroom English will show you the most standard from New York or London. But as Australian, Scot or Southern US English also exist, so do Caribbean or Argentinian Spanish...
