No, the "official" age is 5, but really it depends on the birthday of the child. I think it's if the child will turn 5 during the first 6-8 weeks of school, then they go to school when they are 4, and they turn 5 during the first semester of school...if they turn 5, 9 weeks or more into the school year, they have to wait until the following year to go to school. Not sure how it's really handled, I'm into the school system (heck, Megan had to tell me that she was going INTO the 8th grade this year! LOL)
