I have a couple of treasured mementos, but no LGFs to speak of.

Beatrice ( not her real name ) doesn't count because this was a peer relationship. ( Or so we mistakenly assumed when it began.)

And I would have to go into convolutions and personal revealations to explain why the YG who gave me her ponytail doesn't count even though I had a mad crush on her. If she ever asks me, I won't deny it. Such is my respect for her and my estimation of her liberality on such issues. But all of this a small aspect of a very close relationship which has nothing to do with my crush on her.

Maybe we should ask those who use the term with more frequency exactly what LGFmeans to them.

Having an LGF isn't something I seek out. But as we grow up, gain friends in the neighborhood, see our old friends having children, then its only natural that there will be some LGs who may grow to know us as people.
