An interesting GM

To all who may be interested,

I recently had a GM that really...well, surprised me.

Earlier this week, I was making a doctor's visit, and I was in the waiting room, which was fairly small but well populated by other patients who were also waiting. We were all freely engaging in conversation with each other to pass the time. Among the patients waiting to see the doctor was an adult couple and their two kids, one of whom was early 20's I would say, and the other was a cute and VERY intelligent girl of about 11-13 named Jenni. She had almost shoulder length dirty blonde hair, and was wearing a teal green sleeveless top that was just short enough to show her belly when she stretched, along with matching teal short shorts. She wasn't actress beautiful, but still quite stunning, especially when her ability to engage in thoughtful conversation was factored in (I think brainy girls are very appealing on a personal level, and if our world was a saner, youth liberated place, this would be the type of AG I would most prefer to spend time with).

Since I didn't want to attract negative attention, I made sure that I focused the majority of my conversation on the other adults, even though I acknowledged Jenni enough when she addressed me to be courteous and respectful to her...but I went out of my way to make it seem that I wasn't interested in talking to her much, and I didn't want to be caught looking at her body or making too much eye contact with her. She and her family were all sitting on the opposite side of the waiting room from me.

Then, the surprising thing happened, something that both gladdened me, on one level, but also made me very nervous on another level, both for obvious reasons. During the convo, Jenni would periodically leave her seat to get a tissue paper or grab one of those boring books you find in doctors' offices, and at one point during the convo when she did this, instead of sitting back with her family she walked over to the opposite side of the room and plopped down in the chair right next to me. She then began focusing more of her part of the convo to me personally. I didn't want her parents to think I was giving her too much attention or staring at her body...the top she had on was rather tight, her bra's shoulder straps clearly visible, and like I said, a bit short at the bottom, with all of her legs visible due to her short shorts, so it was going to be hard not to glance at her on occasion, but I managed to barely do so, and I don't think I was "caught" by anyone, as people continued to speak respectfully to me, including her family, who were good conversationalists. I also came to respect Jenni a lot, because she was very smart and knew more than enough about the various subjects we were all discussing to be an important component of the multi-person convo.
Still, I was soooooooo nervous when she sat near me...I was feeling exactly like I did when I was 14 if a girl I thought was cute sat next to me and actually started talking to me. Of course, this situation was quite different, as I may still be that kid emotionally, but chronologically, I'm what society whould call a 30-something year old man. I was much too scared to address Jenni more than I did, as I didn't want to come off as being "too interested" in her, especially not with her family and so many other adults around. Additionally, I liked her parents as nice, courteous people, and I didn't want them to think of me as some type of scum bag because I found their daughter attractive "in that way." If they watch enough talk shows or read enough of the media, they will probably think I'm some type of depraved murderer, and that would really hurt :(

So, again, when she sat near me, I want out of my way not to look at her when I spoke to her, and I focused only a bit more of my convo on her then. But the girl sat right next to me!! She didn't have to, because a seat was still available near her mother, but she did choose to sit near me, and I didn't know what to do or what to make of it.

There is one point of humor from that day involving Jenni that I certainly want to share with you guys, which displays how much she had gumption for a conversation with several adults. Her father was talking about his sister's dog and how the animal used to tear up the furniture, and Jenni suddenly came out and said, "And that's not all that stupid dog used to do! He would come up to me and start humping on me!" Her father, embarrassed, tried very hard to stifle a laugh and simply said "Jenniiii..." while the rest of the people laughed their asses off. That was quite a bold thing for her to say, as she in no way lowered her tone of voice when she said it, and this showed how comfy she was talking to adults. The most embarrassing thing about the whole thing is that I happened to be the person she essentially addressed that unpleasant fact to. I was worried that her dad would become irritated with me that his daughter was focusing this attention on a "grown man," so I went out of my way to make it seem like I wasn't offended by what she said (I wasn't) but that I didn't particularly care to hear it (I didn't lol!). But that made me think, all the more than Jenni was a kewl girl, and perhaps her father realized that.

As much as I enjoyed this intelligent and cool girl sitting next to me, I was actually relieved when I got called in to see the doctor ahead of her and her family. Just before I left the office, following my visit, I said 'bye' to her family since they were nice enough to pass all that time with some good convos, and her dad courteously said 'bye' but he almost seemed a bit annoyed with me (I honestly don't recall saying anything "inappropriate" during the convos, and everything I said was interesting, IMO, and "clean").

In one way, I felt very, very good that a terrific girl like Jenni would single me out in a crowd of adults in such a positive way, and her company was very welcome (I still don't know what it was that drew her to me over that of all the other adults in that waiting room, however...maybe I'm reading "too much" into the fact that she sat near me, but as I'm now approaching middle age, I suppose I would feel good at the thought that an intelligent girl like Jenni could still find me interesting in some fashion, and more so than all other adults in a room). On the other hand, I was very scared at making it obvious that I was a hebephile, though there was never any "danger" that I was going to hit on the girl, even though I wish I could have talked to her more than I did, focus as much attention on her as I wanted, had her family's blessing while I did so, and even exchanged phone numbers with her, since she was very adroit and kewl to talk to. I never want to see parents as the enemy, and I hope all parents here realize that. Contrary to popular belief in some circles, I don't want to "sneak" with an AG behind her parents' backs, and I wish their parents could respect us, and vice versa.

I know some people here will be angry at me for not talking to her more, but as a favor, guys...please go a bit easy on me. I was surprised and I was very scared, I didn't want to get humiliated or in trouble right in the middle of a doctor's office, especially considering how my health has not been too good lately. Save the ire for Furbie, who only would have been interested in getting a panty flash, and nothing else; all aspects of this girl, including her brilliant mind and outgoing personality, interested me. And it really made me feel good that, for some reason, this girl found me interesting in some fashion...at least I think she did (again, she didn't sit next to me due to a lack of any place else to sit...her previous seat next to her mom was still available).

I'm very thankful to have a place to share stuff like this.
