again it goes back to ownership. its not about the childs happiness but his own. if the girl likes a man and wants to be touched and cuddled by him then dad should allow it as long as he is reasonably sure he can trust the guy. some men are just jealous,and subconsciously they believe that: "its my daughter. if i cant be as close to her as i would like,then no man will ever get from her what i cant have..."
