Goddesses Like Lingere, too...GM

This is so cute... My ex had a daughter, beautiful blonde, blue eyes. She was outgoing, flirty, and most tenacious; when she had her heart set on something, she got it! Needless to say, she easily felled me, put an arrow plumb through my Gl'ing heart!

One day when our daughter was about five, while shopping at a large department store, we came across the childrens clothes. Browsing it revealed a section with nighties and lingere for young girls which were quite nice and well designed -- some were rather to the erotic (in a tasteful sort of way.) Our little girl's eyes lit up in delight. She started rummaging through the rack and picking out ones she liked. Her mom got mad and asked what she wanted "that" for. Finances were a part of her denial, as not all of the arguement was based on "little girls don't wear that stuff."

Well, much crying (and an appeal to the much more sensible -- and easily manipulated-- daddy) later, the discussion ensued where I pointed out irrefutably that, OBVIOUSLY, little girls DO wear it since the section was rather sizable. Also mentioned was the enormous collection of Victoria's for Children. :/ Of course, I couldn't ignore the fact out daughter was entitled to her opinions, feelings, and choices. Money? When was the last time ANYTHING had been gotted for her soley because she wanted it??? Left out was the knowledge that this little girl would most likely insist on modelling it later. Two outfits were exhumed from the discarded pile, and a proud, victorious smile adorned my little love's face.

Later that night, true to her nature, this little fireball strutted into the living room, where I was reading an old issue of Reader's Digest, decked out in her newest "toy" (more like a weapon against daddy, I think.) It was a white satin top with lace covered in tiny pink hearts. It came down to just below her butt, and had thin straps over the shoulders. To complete the ensemble, she had on a matching pair of satin undies. She changed the music to some Enya or Fresh Aire CD and started dancing and twirling about like a little ballerina. Er -- I was actually shocked. Where had she learned to move like that? "I just made it up! Do you like it, daddy?" Uh.... duh?

After prancing about for nearly 10 minutes (could be wrong, I was sorta distracted... and thankful wifey was at work...) she dashed off, explaining she had another one. She returned shortly sporting a more conservative grayish nightgown, with straps over the shoulders, crisscrossed at the back -- almost more a dress. This came to about mid thigh and had grayish-pink print in the body. She danced for a moment or two then stopped suddenly, looked at me perplexedly and said, "Daddy, these don't have no matching underwear!" And she unabashedly proved it... she doesn't wear what doesn't match!

Fashion is so important, don't you think?
