perhaps it's a silly question, but have you any suggestions and/or advice for those of us who are out? i've done my bit (where i've been awake enough to notice it was needed) in regard to poking and prodding the politicos, and i continue to volunteer my skills online, as best i can, but thus far the only thing i've managed to do to that seems to have produced any real effect in real life is to play the squeaky wheel amongst the various authorities in my town.

it's possible that i've been able to establish a miniscule precedent in terms of getting social services to admit that prejudice is an impediment to gainful employment, and to identify the causes. i've attempted to document my progress in this, in case it's of use to anyone else, and i'm now hopeful that i'll soon be in a position to contribute a small token to your own welfare, in gratitude for all you have been doing for us.

i've also made a point of standing up and sticking out where possible in social situations, and to do what i can to raise topics for discussion within my community. so far i can report resonable success in this, and feel that i can state that sechelt is actually fairly tolerant of our kind, even disreputable old derelicts like myself.

betcha anything my clothing is holier than yours...

anyway - didn't mean to be blowing my own horn here - what i'm really asking is if you have attempted to document your own experiences in this regard? thus far the worst problem has been that i cannot even begin to consider doing anything for the children themselves - i'm pretty much obliged to concentrate solely on the adults, which isn't exactly fun, but at least it's fun.

in short - any pointers for those of us who are out, and are looking to make more of our exposure?
