I just don't understand that part. Why is it so forbidden for men to show affection, feelings etc?

I still appreciated my former male colleague, who didn't care about pedo-hysteria - he hugged, comforted and held the children's hands when ever needed. And of course he should be able to do those things as well as I and other female colleagues. But unfortunately it's not always like that.
