Caught Looking?

No. I tend to be very discreet. And I have an excellent memory. So if I get a glimpse of a cute thing in passing on the street, I feel no need to crane my neck for a better look. Sometimes I'm in a position to get a more sustained look without compromising myself. And I always avert my gaze if I feel I've stumbled on something which would embarass the girl if she caught me looking.

That said, I was painfully shy in High School and would never make eye contact with the girls I had crushes on. One day in study hall I decided to keep looking even if one looked back. She was a dark Italian beauty, fairly popular, and way out of my league. Her friends at the next table caught me staring and they began to whisper among themselves. I didn't try that again until I was well away from the clique-ish hell that is High School.

Unfortunately she never lived to see graduation. She was riding in the back of a pickup being driven by another drunk student and was flung from the vehicle when it crashed.
