As far as fearing being out of control, that's inaccurate. I don't fear being out of control. I'm just not going to make an effort to get close to a LG by manipulating the parents. Secondly, I know I would never intentionally hurt a child. So I don't feel I would lose control. That's not the issue at all. It's just that I won't put myself in a situation where romantic and sexual feelings come up yet I can't act of them.
In any case, whether or not I would respond in kind to the romatic overtures of my female friend, I don't agree with manipulating the parents in any way. If I'm friends with the parent, I'll be friends with the parents. If I'm friends with the LG, I will be freinds with the LG. I will not attempt manipulate one to get close the the other. There's something wrong with that way of thinking.
Finally, as for JD and the other, they are flamers. They do not care about me, nor do they care about what I'm about or my good intentions. They don't know anything about me. Their response is as inappropriate and caustic as that of any abuser. They will eventually attack you, too.
In sum, I don't think our opinions are that far off. I do live in fear, but given the circumstances, my fear is not unreasonable. We both want to find a solution to the problem of society's oppression of those with sexual preferences for children. I don't think we can do that on an individual level. I, however, don't really know how to do it. For now I live, like a Jew in Nazi Germany or a African-American under the noses of the Klan, in fear. I hope you can appreciate the gravity of our situation.
