Another GM

I never cease to be amazed by the delightful effects of a random GM. Yesterday I was out with my 9 years old son, and went into a small cafe to get him a kids meal. We collected the meal, and were in the process of adding some ketchup etc from the dispensers on the counter, when I was aware of a lovely LG about 8 years old standing next to me. She could not reach up to the ketchup dispensers. Her parents were sitting down already, and seemed to ignore her plight. I am cautious of engaging LGs in conversation, but I thought it was safe to ask her whether she wanted me to put some ketchup on her plate. She flashed back a lovely smile and handed me her plate for me to do this. She then skipped back to her parents table and my son and I sat down near them. She was facing us, and her parents had their backs to us. I could not resist glancing her way from time to time. Each time she saw me looking, she smiled back, with a look that melted my heart and gave me a happiness that would instantly cure the darkest depression. I believe in the healing effect of such GMs. I also believe that LGs are sensitive to adults who truly love them, and as in this case, the interaction is so subtle that only a girl lover would understand what I am saying.
