Lindsay and Thetes both don’t seem to think it was much of a success though. If I’m being unrealistic about the goals of such an organisation, then so are the people running them!

And good luck with your “drastic things” which are afoot. It’s something like four years since I first found BC and started lurking there, eventually moving over to GC as well. I’ve heard murmurings about significant developments ‘behind the scenes’ plenty of times, but seldom has anything tangible become prominent, yet. It’s probably me not paying enough attention, but I’ve become pretty much desensitised to those sorts of claims. I’m hoping the success stories will come to light one day. Go and create one ;)
