The point Minstrel is making should also be important to anyone of us. The fact is, many "children's charities" actively refuse donations from outed paedophiles, contributing to our isolation and discrimination. Others contribute to our bad image and to enhance the hysteria against us. I am aware that they also do it to be themselves in good image with the current anti environment there is; and I am sure that if and when things change, they will also change their position. That's why, while I disagree, I am not overly vocal with it - that's a product of society more than of the charities themselves. However, if I can choose, I'd rather donate to a charity that has a good pro-paed record than one that joins the lynchmob, even if it does so for PR...

Of course, it's still better to donate to a charity that does join the lynchmob than to none at all (like others suggest...), so by all means do it if that's what you have planned...
