"I was raped when I was 5 years old and I can never get over how I was so humilitaed and abused and my childhood was taken away."

I've encountered this group, and was able to sway them. They're not unreasonable people. They're people who've been traumatised, and been hit with the strongest dose of brainwashing our society condones, but they aren't unreachable.

Expressing understanding and sympathy is the first step. Then remind them that rape is wrong no matter what age the victum, and they are usually ready to accept that what happened to them shouldn't be used as an excuse to victumise other people for their sexual orientation.

I've been so effective with this method that some of the "reasonable" antis (by which I mean completely unreasonable people who happen to be on the politically acceptable side of the debate) ended up dismissing her completely and even saying that she'd made up her claims of abuse in the first place. Let's just say that additude didn't go over well...
