I think kissing her on the lips - if initiated by me - would seem even more unusual than just being half way across the room (but looking) while she changes. In my extended family it is very rare for adults to kiss children other than their own - and even with their own it is usually just little pecks on the cheek.

BTW, in that previous post I was not just wishing to give her a quick little kiss on the lips - I was thinking about a big, long, wet, juicy kiss :-) On the other hand, if she were to initiate a kiss on the lips, I would kiss her right back - probably not for a long time - but I would kiss her.

Regarding what I said to her father: Looking at what I wrote, maybe it was not as clear as it should have been. Even before I said anything to him, I think he already knew that I was in her room when she changed. But, just in case he did not know that, I wanted to be up front about it so that he would hear it from me right after it happened, rather than perhaps first hearing it from her later that day or the next day. Luckily, he did not seem to mind at all.
