Erm..

It is necessary to demand that the world acknowledge it, but requiring them to make it before we do would so us no great service, and likely do us great disservice. It would be like the the "straights" declaring that they refuse to recognize the difference between themselves and rapists until everyone else does. I am not a child molester, never have been, never will be, and anyone who tries to shove me into the same square-shaped hole as they (especially if they also claim to be one of my people) will hear my displeasure at their intentional misclassification.
