I wasn't there, but he described what happened to me. He said they were both standing, it was a crowded bus, and she was falling backwards, so he reached out and grabbed her by the arm so that she wouldn't fall.
But then she just glared at him and moved away from him!
I was so surprised when he told me this! I thought she would have said thank you!
Honestly, if any person, woman, child, adult, whatever, is in danger of falling or getting a hurt, and someone tries to help them, that someone should be given a warm thank you!
It's all because you're a man. Our society is very sexist, and woman are taught to fear and be suspicious of all men. What a sad state of affairs. If you had been a woman, the mother probably would have started a conversation with you and invited you out for coffee or shoe-shopping.
