We are girl lovers. That means that, in general, we love prepubescent - and in the case of many, also pubescent - girls and generally everything about them. It doesn't mean that we are, by default, in love with every young girl in existence. I don't know about you, but when I see a little girl somewhere being herself, the first thing that I notice about her has everything to do with what I chance upon first.
Take, for instance, a trip that I was recently on. I was out of state and needed to go to a store for some items. When I was there, I heard the tell-tale step-slide... coming my way. With my knack for only encountering boys wearing such skate shoes, I didn't think of it much.. until it was suddenly right behind me. I glanced back... and found myself "frozen" for a brief moment, as one of the most attractive 10-ish year old girls that I've ever seen gave me a shy little smile. After the brief moment of shock, I stepped out of the way and she smiled a little more as she resumed her step-slide motion across the store to where her family was.
In that situation, the first thing that I chanced upon was her face. What else did I notice about her? Well, I can remember more or less exactly what she was wearing and an impression of confidence with a touch of shyness. I never heard her voice or saw her again, but she stuck with me. What I feel in situations like that is what most people associate with a schoolboy instant crush. I liked her immediately and wished that I could have talked with her, but that was unfortunately not in the cards.
In other situations, the first thing encountered is a girl's voice, or something more telling of direct personality. I don't just fall in love with girls the instant that I see them - do you?
That goes the same with Dakota. I absolutely adore her and always have. I have always found her to be very attractive, whether it be little girl cuteness/sexiness, or older (tweens) gawkiness/cuteness/sexiness. My opinion of her attractive she is, however, is not limited to her looks. I have followed her career for a very long time and watched many interviews not just with her but with her typically mature and experienced big-name co-stars. From what I have seen of her and heard of her from those who have gotten to know her, I have always seen her as one of my kinds of total-package perfect girl. She's not the only type of girl that I find attractive in every way and adore, but she's got everything going for her.
Unlike FPJ, who I am very glad to see back, by the way - heya, FPJ! WB!! - I don't hate to admit that it is looks as well as everything else. Would you feel the same about a 30 year old with more or less the mind of an 8 year old as you do for an actual 8 year old? I seriously doubt it. I know that I don't. I love the way that girls look, I love the way that they think, I love the way that they act, I love the way that they sound, I love everything about them in general.
However, let's not try to make things out to be other than they are. We love girls automatically for what they are and all that that entails, but you don't love a specific girl for who she is until you get to know her. There is general love, and then there is love. That general love does include an element of "looks", and there is nothing wrong with that. While looks matter more to some and less to others, they do play a role in general attraction - the exception to this being one of necessity in the case of blindness.
