The advantage of being semi-out is that anyone who would recognise me from things I say here wouldn't be learning anything they didn't already know! Sometimes when I recount an incident or conversation that happened at work, if any of my co-workers were to read about it they'd know exactly who I was, but I KNOW that none of them are raving antis, one I susspect may even be a GL himself but I've not been brave enough to ask! As for past incidents, because when the sh*t hit the fan for me I decided to be completely honest with the police/social services/councellors etc, there's no danger of me accidently revealing anything new to them as I told them everything in the first place!
