Yes, but no Rule of Law in the USA

Naturally, the politicians and the media brag about how we have the Rule of Law in the United States . . . but then again, the politicians and the media (in the Soviet Union) bragged about how they had the Rule of Law (in the Soviet Union). In other words, you can't trust what people say, you have to look at what they do - and based on that, the United States has been losing ground, Rule-of-Law-wise, since 1861, with major downturns under FDR, LBJ, Nixon, and George the Third.
