Is... you know... high in simple sugars or acids which could contribute to decay if you did not have a source of brush or fluoride?

As far as I know it's mostly proteins and those can only be broken down to the base amino acids in the stomach/intestines and THOSE can only be glycolized into sugars through complicated cellular processes, so proteins can't cause tooth decay AS FAR AS I KNOW.
