I personally wish this wasn't being done to Jack. I wish it was being done to a pedophile who wasn't being creepy.

Are there any non-creepy paedophile websites run by identifiable, US-based paedophiles? If not, that's the obvious answer to why the US media are targeting Mr. McClellan, specifically.

To make an impact on their target audience, firstly, they need the paedophile website itself. Secondly, they need a name and a face, so they have an identifiable person to demonise. (Demonising anonymous nicknames is no fun!) And thirdly, they need it to be someone in the US, because it's more exciting for them to have a "monster" in their midst, rather than somewhere out of the way, like in Europe, for example.

If any US-based paedophile wants to take the media attention off Mr. McClellan, they need to follow that recipe for themselves...
