I was picking up the girls a few weeks ago and a guy was there with his two daughters. W who is 3 and H who is 1. The real hard part of this story is believeing this dad. He could care less his own daughters. But anyway...
I understand how little girls react. I walked in and was swamped by the girls since they know they are sleeping over and we can go to playgrounds and get hotdogs etc etc. Basically I let them dictate what we do and that is a treat when you are so young. So now little W is toddling right up and wanting to be picked up. No mystery here eh? She just wants in with the other girls. I asked dad permission and he could care less so I scooped up that little angel and immediately she laid her head against my shoulder. What a wonderful feeling.
But what was weird was a couple of things. She would say down and I would put her down. She would start to toddle away and then look confused and start back to me with arms outstretched wanting to be picked up again. It was as if she didn't understand her own compulsion to be picked up by me but had to do it. Again, not real strange but then it got to be Twilight Zone material.
All "my" girls kept insisting W "missed me". I had never met this girl in my entire life!!! I explained that to the girls and they seemed to be sure. She missed me and they would take nothing else as answer. Meanwhile I have this 3 YO hugging my neck and dozing in my arms. Then it amped up when one of the girls moms asked where I knew W from? I explained I did NOT know her but mom insisted I must be mistaken. This just kept on until me and the girls left. Moms and girls insisting W missed me and wanted to come with us as well. I DO NOT KNOW THIS GIRL AND HAVE NEVER MET HER BEFORE!!!
The girls ran out before me to get their carseats in my car. I was walking out when W simply walked in front of me. I bent to give her a hug or something and she dodged me so I started to walk out again and again she walked in front of me. I tried side stepping her. She put herself between me and the door. I finally got down on my knees and told her I loved her but I had to go. I didn't move a muscle as she toddled up with tears streaming. She put her arms around my neck and gave me a drooly baby kiss on the lips and simply turned and walked away.
It has been a couple of weeks and I haven't seen her since. We shall see.
So there you go folks. I give you something it is easy to call me a liar about. Consider it a gift. Softly laughing - there is more to life than you think.
I am created Siva
