The thing I don't get

is that it takes more effort to capitalize than to not capitalize. So why capitalize at random?

Also, why assume it's not a big deal? It makes it very hard to read KBA's posts (at least to me), and yet he apparently thinks it's just a cute personal quirk he shouldn't try to change.
