Mmmm... I don't think colour-blind and racist are exact antonyms.

You can be NOT colour-blind and yet NOT be racist.

To be colour-blind means you act like no differences exist. That is wrong, because there are differences. Even if all were culturally based, they're still differences.

To be racist means that you use those real differences to justify derogatory or discriminating treatment on the given community.

So of course most *people* are not colour-blind, either because they were raised in one-race areas and thus find other communities to be different to what they know, or because they were raised in multi-race areas where they DID experience the difference all their lives. I see nothing wrong with the same-community-together feeling that this creates. And I see nothing wrong with it being from whites either - whites have every right as every other community to feel nice and warm in their community identity.

I only start seeing it wrong when anyone denies any of the other communities the right to remain such a community. Language is one of the dimensions where those communities arise.
