You know, the great problem is that *none of us was there*.

I would, *normally*, not think that what the co-worker did was hassling. *Just one sentence* doesn't qualify as that, to me, unless:

1) This happens frequently (eg, she's a regular client and he *always* does it).
2) The content or the tone / body language (as a substitute given a language barrier) was obviously aggressive or physically intimidating.
3) The content or the tone / body language was obviously stalkerly, or flirty / sexual beyond what the context allowed to be inferred.

Of course, any of these might be the case. Hell, she might simply have been having a bad day and react in a way she wouldn't otherwise!!!

The description alone still leaves me the aftertaste that she was rude *beyond what she needed to*. I would agree that if it was hassling, for instance under my previous 3 scenarios, she would not have been out of place in reacting like that. I just don't see that being the case here, *based on the account alone*.

But yeah, we would only know if we had been able to read both persons' minds at the time of the event... lol...
