I spell those that way mostly because they're most recognisable in those forms.
Sure I could say "City of Angels" but that's too many words for a lazy guy like me :p

If I said, Yellow or Holy Faith, who's gonna know whether I was talking about botany, theology, or a place?
They're more recognisable by the official names.

Otherwise, I could justify saying Spacious Island istead of Hiroshima, but no one would have a clue what I was talking about :p
