i do not think that any lawsuit against them will be successful. all they have to do is claim that ur personal information was only on the internet to inform people of a possible child molester.
the best u could hope for, if u sued them would be to get ur information taken down from their wikisposure page. it is unlikely that u would do any more damage to them. plus, they would do a lot of other bad things to u. they have thousands of anonymous volunteers. they would still call ur job, and tell them u are a child rape advocate and get u fired from that job. they would spread fliers all over ur neighborhood and u would not be able to stop them. this would be anonymous volunteers doing it. perverted justice would claim in court that they cannot be held liable for the actions of anonymous people using the information they posted on the internet. they even have a really lame 'disclaimer' on their wikisposure page that says something like 'this information is not here for people to take the law into their own hands. that is not in the spirit of our goals'. i laughed when i read that. their 'goals' are to destroy the lives of pedophiles, so they do want their volunteers to do exactly what they do. to be honest, i would be curious to see what would happen if someone tried to sue them over being exposed. unfortunately it would have to be someone with a lot of money. the chances are, that once the person is exposed, they will lose their job, family and friends. so, most of those people will not be in a position to sue perverted justice. even if u got them to take down ur personal information, u can bet that they would still keep it on their private forum, and have their volunteers call and harass u and any other job u attempt to get. anyway, this is who they are and what they do. i would not count on being able to sue them and bring them down. after all, they are directly responsible for a man taking his own life and nothing at all has happened to their organisation. if they can get away with murder, what is to stop them? rabit  |
