I had a similar experience with Beatrice.

We'd been seeing each other again after all those years lost. But she wasn't sure she was ready to be in a relationship so soon after the dissolution of her marriage.

Then out of the blue, she told me that she had fallen for another guy in her life who'd been a friend and support for several years.

I was hurt, but I made it clear that our friendship was the most valuable component of any relationship we'd had; now or back when she was my teen queen.

She'd been very nervous about losing my friendship when she told me.

We took a long walk and I said that if she ever changed her mind, she'd need to know that I was a Pedophile as well as a fancier of adults.

It went well. But then again, she knew all that back when she was 14.

Your Sis sounds like a great woman.
