Happy GM: I am over due for a GM

Today at work I had found a bag of balloons in the store room that were never open. So the kid in me that is the biggest force in my life has me blow some balloons up lol. I bring one out to the main room where we have merchandise and customers shop. No one is in the store besides me and my Assistant manager. It is almost closing time and I was sure no one was going to be coming in. I start scanning product for loss prevention and drop the balloon somewhere.

Then I hear the door open and in comes a dad and mom followed by the most precious about six year old girl I have ever seen (I say that about every girl btw LOL) She walks up about two feet away from me and watches me scan with a quizzical look on her face. I turn and smile and wave to her like I do with all little girls. She waves back and keeps watching. So I decide to make funny faces and she giggles and after getting her fill of watching me scan walks off. All of a sudden I hear "MOMMY LOOK A BALLOOON CAN I KEEP IT PLEEEAAASSSSEEEE?" The mom says "I don't know it might be the stores" And of course I tell the girl "Of course you can have it" She looks at me with a big happy smile and gives me a big thank you!

After they left I sat there and just felt good that I probably made that girls day hehe. Making little girls happy thats what I do and I love it!
