Sometimes I think it's like a mix between I am Sam and The Blue Lagoon, maybe with a few drops of Lolita...

But it's not as sugary as I am Sam, nor as Utopian as The Blue Lagoon, and unlike in Lolita, what happens happens in spite of the characters, not because of them, even unintendedly.
