Don't be sad my friend, be proud of yourself and keep your head up.
Friends who don't accept you for who and what you are, are no friends. Never mind them.
And yes, you can be friends with open minded, intelligent people capable in having an own opinion.
My best friend is a woman in her early forties, former co-worker and living in the southern part of Europe now.
Yes, she gave me a hard time when i came out to her, but she trusts me for who and what i am.
She and he partner invited me to spend some time at their place, they fully accept me.
Cheer up, i will give A. an extra hug from you tomorrow.
