Might as well throw my two cents in, since you seem to really want to understand. (That's pretty rare.)

First off, I'm so sorry that you had those negative experiences at such a young age. I think that if more people (not just girls, boys too) had sex-positive experiences at a younger age than is currently allowed by law, that we'd have at least a happier society. The persons who did that to you were indeed predators, not girl lovers such as you'll find here. They deserve your contempt.

As to why I'm attracted to girls, well... I'm pretty variable in my AoA (age of attraction), more-so than some here. I can find women attractive but mostly it's the honesty and freshness of girls that speak to my heart. I've been hurt many times by women, deep wounds, but never by a little gal, not once in a long life. That's part of it. A lot of good points have already been made by wiser heads than mine in reply, take a bit off all of them and shake them up, that'll have to do. :)

As to the second question, I'm all about consent. Always have been. If anyone of any age doesn't consent to pictures or sex or indeed anything physical then that's it, full stop. I have a good friend in her thirties who, with her husband, maintains a soft-core adult website with pics of her taken by him. She loves having her picture taken, the more sensual the better, and he loves how she looks and loves to share her with the world. If a child can enjoy and more importantly understand about pics then why not? Yes, the understanding is the hard part, I'm not convinced they can give informed consent so I'm still on the fence on this one. :P
And kids are sexual. Really. They've done studies and everything. The age they begin exploring varies widely, as does the amount but I'm willing to bet 99.999% of all humans find ways to please themselves with just a hand and a spare half-hour. If a sweet girl showed me what she wanted me to do... Well, I'd still say no (yes, really, no jail for me please) but I'd be tempted and I wouldn't assume she didn't know about sex...

And I think I already answered your last question. Right now a beautiful 8-10 year old could capture my attention (and my heart) more easily than a truly stunning forty year old. I'm an aesthete, I appreciate all beauty, but I'm sadly imbalanced; I'll look at a pretty-but-plain gal before a handsome man, lol. I'm 100% hetero, no animals, no vacuum cleaners, no vats of chocolate pudding.
