you know, some of that "OMG! That 8 year-old girl is HOT!" stuff disturbs me a too, but i think a lot of its just people who feel oppressed in 'real life' and, when they're talking to others who understand where they're coming from, they flaunt it a little.

to use the gay analogy again, you'd probably find a lot of the guys in a mardi gras would not be wearing their lipstick and a gold lame thong to work on casual friday at their office, but they'll wear those things in a parade becos they are getting in the faces of straight people and asserting their PRIDE.

we don't get granted a lot of license by others, so we just take it from each other.
