My two cents as an outsider: I understand her father's reaction, specially because he was completely oblivious it was gonna be just you and her *I find him a little dense, though, wasn't he listening when you took your daughter to his house to say goodbye??? *facepalms** Not many parents would let their daughters go away with their friend's father when said friend isn't gonna be there. It'd have been better sitting with her father and gave him all the details *at least the public ones* instead of assuming he understood what you were hinting.

i agree, but its not so easy in practice. believe me!
