I don't look like a matinee idol. OK, maybe a little like Kenneth Branagh ⚠️ ↗ with a few lbs more ;p But LGs don't go out of their way to talk to me and volunteer information on the street.

However JI said he works at a cafe. I can tell you from working retail that LGs, accompanied or on their own, come up to me and ask questions all the time. Furthermore, when you prove your ability to listen, they will sometimes tell you what's going on in their lives. And if they frequent your establishment, they'll seek out the guy who gave them the respect and attention they deserve.

An olive skinned 8 year old cutie asked me for assistance the other day. I had the fortune to be able to also ring up her and her sister. Later there was a freckle-faced 7 year old. She looked like a Tomboy, but was all girly giggles.

Its one of the few perks for an industry not known for adequate compensation.
