I will still not name names.
But I will name roles.
Because, apart from the role of the public outie that does things under their name and doesn't hesitate to sign his name and face on public media...
...and apart from the role of those of us who try to share our feelings and ideas online in the hope the rest of the world reads and understands...
...there is the role I think most important. If the public outies are our generals and the writers are our ideologues, if the unaware paeds are our citizens and children are our reason to fight...
...the rank and file, the true soldiers, who are actually doing the most in the advancement of our common causes... are the people who is out in their RL - whose friends and family know, whose lgf's know, whose secret is no such. Many of them still operate here under a nick - but they are no less courageous than the generals, and, in the aggregate, they are imho more important than Lindsay, Norbert or Kevin are - as much as I am inspired by and proud of them.
And as for Markaba... I am still out...
He had many negatives, but also very important positives... I guess he simply proves how everyone isn't always positive or always negative...
And, while he and I were in far from good terms when he left, I also think that he too had a role and fulfilled it, and that we learned something from his presence.
And even in his last incarnation, there are even today a few times when I think he would have the precise answer needed...
