the best thing you can do is change your lifestyle, if you can.
also, set yourself rewarding goals, even very simple ones like going to a movie, and achieve them.
the important things are that you regain a sense of control over your life, and that you learn to enjoy things again.
i survived a suicide attempt by pure luck. i was led to make that attempt by feelings of hopelessness that my sexual orientation would never lead to anything but hurt and frustration.
in some ways it was a positive experience, becos it forced me to examine my situation, which seems far less hopeless now than it did then. i'm much less ready to feel ashamed or guilty now, and i'm much more confident making friends with kids if i get the opportunity.
but the fact is, i was very lucky to survive my suicide attempt and it frightened me a lot. i take these kinds of thoughts seriously now and you should to. don't dwell on them, but be proactive and make an effort to live your life as you define it. other people have a right to their opinion, but thats all it is: their opinion.
life can be good. its tragic to throw it away.
