Coming out to a friend, with a gun in my face.

I've put off posting this story because it's filled with drama--almost too much drama to be true. But surprisingly it is true. It happened a few weeks ago.

I came out to someone, and I knew it would be great for BC and GC, so I present it to you. I'll continue the story if someone is interested but I think it's long enough for now. A friend of mine who I'll call Steve was talking to me one evening. He had issues with me. He said, "Dude, why are you always so moody, and angry and depressed?"

"It's just who I am," I said.

"I don't think it is. I think you have demons your holding in. You don't seem like an asshole. If I thought you were I wouldn't be talking to you like this."

He went on to say it could be that I'm gay, or my dad beat the shit outta me, or something else that I'm suffering with. I said, "Suffering doesn't even begin to describe what men like me go through, and I'm a poor example."

"That's pretty serious, dude. If you ever have anything to tell me I'm here to listen."

I thought about what Steve said for a week. He seemed like a pedophobic person, but also a reasonable person. I asked him if he wanted to go into the woods for target practice. We shot at targets for a while, and then we eventually got to talking about my issues; whether I can trust him and such. He said there's no guarantee, but he could try. I was very nervous. The cigar in my hand was shaking, and was taking swigs of my flask every minute. Eventually, I built up the courage.

I said, "What I'm about to do will make you uncomfortable, but I swear I know what I'm doing."

"Okay, fine. I'm up for anything."

"Alright." I got up, put out my cigar, walked over to the nearest tree, and picked up his .22 rifle. As Steve was sitting on the ground against a tree, his expression began to change. I turned off the safety.

I then walked up to him slowly. I took the rifle, turned it around, and pointed it at my own chest.

"Then kill me." I said.

There was a pause. His jaw was down. WTF is Davis doing?! He could only whimper out one word, "um, no"

"Why not?" I asked. "You said that you wanted to."

"Um, no I didn't."

"Yes you did. I was there. You said you wanted to kill me, well now's your chance. Just pull the trigger." I then took the business end and stuck it in my mouth, and rapped my lips around it.

"No, Davis. I'm not going to." I then took the rifle out of my mouth in almost a sucking motion. I turned the safety back on, and placed the rifle on a tree. Steve laughed nervously "Yup, that sure the fuck made me feel uncomfortable."

I offered him my flask, and said, "Relax bro, it wasn't loaded. But your probably wondering why I thought that you wanted to kill me. When did you EVER say that!"

"Yeah, I haven't a clue."

"People tell me they want to kill me everyday, they just don't know they're talking about me. I hear it from my family, my friends, my roommates, and even you said it. Do you remember when you said 'We need to take natural selection into our own hands'?"

"Yeah, I remember that. I was talking about pedophiles."

"Steve, my demon is that I'm not a heterosexual. I am attracted to girls and boys below the age of twelve. I like teenagers and I like women, but my primary attraction is kids."

He looked at the ground, and nodded.
