Or writings by antis which wouldn't sell but for the prurient images they conjure. Nobody can tell me that Andrew Vachss would be read for his literary merit if he wasn't playing a game of titillate the reader while maintaining a semblance of outrage. The same would go for the ratings of To Catch A Predator if they didn't read the "juicy bits" from those transcripts. Without conjuring images of "statutory rape" in the heads of the viewers; they'd be out of the commercial air-time selling business.
