Yes these things are never nice to hear and I agree entirely that it's a crazy thing to play with both guns and booze at the same time. Having said that though, at the end of the day it was apparently his OWN offspring, so on that basis he shouldn't be actually held "criminally" accountable as such. That's my position on it anyway (and yes I know there are plenty such as Minstrel who will want to come in here for the kill to rip my fucken head off over saying it, but I do feel inexorable on the age old principle of absolute parental ownership of something they have created of their very own flesh and blood). It's a tragic bit of bad luck and the father himself will probably have some deep regrets once he sobers to realise what he did. Probably his never ending guilt will serve as enough punishment in itself.

But I also look at it this way too..if all the morons wipe out their own seed, then they'll be wiping their own lot out as a whole so that they don't exist anymore, right? So it would be like a "natural selection", survival of the fittest. If anything, I would have thought the collectivists would be in support of these people wiping their own kind out rather than encouraging the perpetuation of generation after generation doing the same crazy self destructive things over and over again.
