hi Paul. i just wanted to say that, as somebody who was outed to a wide circle of family and friends (but not on the internet or to employers) it hasn't been all bad for me. i've been able to speak openly about my feelings far more than before, and even negotiate some space to spend time with kids and meet some of my emotional needs. i've also been surprised by the amount of positive support i've received from some quite unexpected quarters. it seems there are quite a few people out there with less than dogmatic views on this subject.

also, you said... I joined B4U-Act in the hopes of one day being able to consult a therapist about how to navigate the world as a self-identified minor-attracted person without being forced to regard my orientation as a "disease" or accept that choosing to embrace my sexual identity places me at risk to harm children.

i've met some very poor therapists and i have to say they could have done a lot of damage, but i'm lucky to have also spent time with two others who's approach was exactly as you express your hope of finding. i've had warmth, respect, support and a totally non-judgmental attitude. neither of these people would condone sexual activity with children, but neither do they assume that to be a 'risk factor' for me.

so yeah. what you've been thru sounds like a nightmare, but i hope things get better and that what you're doing with b4u-whatever leads to something good.

:-)
