Actually, djcide did use paragraphs, he just didn't put a blank line between them. The blank line is not conventional in books or other printed matter, but has become the convention when dealing with text on a computer screen. I think the blank line helps orient the reader when scrolling through text, because it is much more obvious than the ragged edge of the last line of the last paragraph.
